How to build a serial cable for Celestron NexStar telescopes.

Using the cable

[-] We insert the RJ plug in the keyboard's connector...

The plug inserted in the connector of the telescope's keyboard

[-] And we connect the serial port to the computer. That's all! Now we must configure the software. Note the usb-serial converter I use with my laptop. Also keep in mind that you must enter the RS-232 mode to be able to command the telescope from a pc: press MENU on the keyboard and search the RS-232 option, then press ENTER.
